I bought this hoping to use it in combination with my GC2 as a poor-man's HMT, but I think the flash from the GC2 messes with the infrared photodiodes on the P3Proswing. You can download the basic software which includes a driving range and handful of courses for free from their website. If you don't like the rubber top, you can also pick up a turf cover for it. I believe to make it work to its fullest potential, you need to tape the bottom of your clubs with their decals, so those will need to be purchased separately. Irons seem to work ok without taping for me, but my driver doesn't register because the sole of it is black and not enough IR light is reflected. One cool thing is that you don't actually have to hit a ball to make it work. It is only measuring the clubhead to simulate the ball flight. This means you can use foam balls or no ball at all which can be good if your family is sleeping or you don't have a net or impact screen. You can literally lay this down in your living room and just make swings. If you have any questions let me know. This certainly is not a GC2 replacement, but would be good if you want to ease into a golf simulator to see how you like it without spending a ton of money. It also works well for left and right handed play.
