  • FS: Par2Pro SQHQ screen / netting / trim / enclosure - UK

I'm in the middle of doing my V3 simulator build - which I will document once it's complete.

As a result, I have a load of stuff from my V2 build that I'm not needing anymore. It all came from Par2Pro and cost a small fortune, so hopefully I can re-coupe some of my costs, and someone can pick up a bargain.
Full details of my V2 build can be found here:
This is my third post in this section about how I built my garage simulator. Unfortunately Photobucket have changed their “third party hosting’ rules, and want

    What I'm selling is...
    Par2Pro SQ HQ screen
    Par2Pro HQ screen
Top and side trim to make it a 4:3 screen
    Back stop netting
    Memory foam mattress topper
    Ceiling netting
Complete frame / bungees / fixings etc

If anyone is interested and wants more details / sizes, then please let me know. I am willing to split, as I think shipping for the frame might cost silly money and a potential owner might be cheaper buying new bits!

What dimensions are the screen, I'd be very interested and could arrange to collect to save on shipping.

If you look in post #13 in the above link, it gives most sizes. I’ll have to get the original layout diagrams and post them for exact sizes - which I’ll do later this evening once my daughter goes to bed.

I’m in Aberdeen, not sure where you are? Shipping everything except the frame would only cost about £15... but some of the frame parts are 3m long, so they’d probably need a specialist courier.

I'm going back through all my Par2Pro invoices trying to get an idea of what it actually cost me!

            HQ Screen: $799
            Mesh backstop: $382.50
            Top Net: $181.56
Fixings and fittings (bungees / velcro / zip ties etc) $150
            Shipping and handling: $375
            Over £100 import duties

            Top Trim: $300
            Side Trim (x 2): $350
            Shipping and handling: $200
            £68 import duty

SQHQ Screen: $462.50 (including $355 discount as a forum "beta tester")
            Shipping and handling: $98
            £52 import duty

Super King Memory Foam Mattress Topper: £70 from eBay
            Super King Duvet Cover: £30

Tubes / brackets / fittings etc from TheMetalStore.com: £140 approx. It cost me a lot more, but that was down to me ordering wrong sizes and re-ordering!

All together, thats $3148.56 (approx £2413) for the good from Par2Pro, £220 import duty, and £240 for parts from the UK.
That means all the stuff above cost ME a little under £2900.

Obviously things like shipping and handling / import fees aren't really transferrable second hand, so thats $2475.56 for the Par2Pro parts (approx £1900) plus the UK parts at £240 - so £2140.

Everything is used, but still in excellent condition. Usual rule of thumb is second hand stuff is approx half the cost of new... so I'd be looking for offers of around £1000 for the lot.
I can also throw in an electric engine hoist complete with ceiling mounting brackets if anyone wanted them!

ahhhhh - I would have bought this off you if id seen this 2-3 weeks earlier. Down in Glasgow as well so would have been ideal but ive ordered and will be installing screen etc this week.

Question for you regarding the Ceiling net as going for the same approach - what is the depth of the Timber used as will be using CLS at the front and back of ceiling area to protect but wasnt sure the depth needed to ensure the net is tight enough for the bounce on wedges.

My timber is 4” wide and deep.

Just cleaning out my old desk as work as I’ve moved office. I found my first FedEx import tax bill - it was £159 for the screen / backing net / top net!
Also found the invoice for my memory foam mattress topper - which was £85!

Yes - but this is a very small part of a bigger system.
I think I’d rather sell the screen / backing net / mattress topper as set.
