  • Want to Buy: 16’ Sportscreen

Looking for a new or used, good deal on a sportscreen. (Cheaper than their website)I currently have a fine garage simulator setup. However, if I could find a used one for cheaper, it could justify me buying one. New or used for cheaper than buying new. Thanks'

I wanted to go with the 16' power golf version of the sportscreen, but they recently jacked up the price on the sportscreen website to $929.99, plus $100 for shipping.

I ended up going with the 16' manual screen from hockeymonkey.com, which had cheaper shipping. I also ordered the 2' extension from xhockeyproducts.com. again, cheaper shipping than thesportscreen.com.

I'm going to pick up the aleko tubular motor for $99 on ebay.

    16' manual sportscreen: $362 shipped
Check out HockeyMonkey's extensive collection inline and ice hockey equipment. Choose from ice hockey skates, accessories, tools, & care products.

    16' wide, 2' extension: $79 shipped
The 2 ft. extension piece gives you the ability to mount your screen as high as 11.5 ft. high. Just Velcro the 2 ft. extension piece right to your SportScreen during installation!

    aleko tubular motor: $99 shipped

so all in, about $540 for the same setup that thesportscreen would charge $929.99 ($1030 shipped):
The SportScreen is the ultimate at-home training tool for athletes of all levels. Perfect for hockey, golf, baseball, soccer and lacrosse, all products features a retractable roll-up design for easy setup and takedown. Practicing indoors or outdoors, sharpen your skills and enhance your game with the SportScreen.

The only difference is that my setup doesn't include the sewn-in loop velcro on the sportscreen to mount the impact screen.

for $500, I think I can figure that out.

p.s., where in michigan are you? i'm in rochester.

That's funny, I came across the aleko website last night and seen that tubular motor. I was looking locally for just an awning roller tube to just make my own as I have a net and 9x10x5 golf enclosure. Figured I could make something work myself. I cant believe they just jacked the price upon it all. I was messaging sportscreen the other day also about it all and seen goaliemonkey n those websites are only 20 bucks for shipping since they're in the u.s. I just dont want to spend that much still as my setup is totally functional. I will wait for the right deal to come along. I'm located in Warren. 14 and hayes area!

They're website is still showing listed 700 for a powered one. I never calculated shipping. It was 64 for the manual.

I just bought a gc2 & hmt a couple weeks ago. So that was a good chunk of money. I'd like to just keep costs low for now as everything works as should. I'd just like to run my projector in a 16:9 widescreen mode and get rid of my side walls. Hoping to free up the back wall in my 2.5 car garage to allow more place for storage. It's just starting to get a little crammed n cluttered in there .

that's for the non-golf version, without the 2' height extension, or the velcro for attaching an impact screen, which I needed for my 108" tall screen.

the powered golf version is $929.99. again, not sure why it's $230 more for the 2' extension and to sew on a strip of velcro.
