  • Advice on selling my TGC licence

Hi folks, unfortunately I am moving and will have to give up my golf sim. I actually only every used it for a week or so due to work commitments and garage being used from storage. Anyway it was brought to my attention that I need to contact Protee before selling. I emailed and was given a very quick response with a link to the software transfer package and a FAQ’s page. I’m unsure of what exactly I need to do/buy in order to sell my licence and what will be available to the new buyer. I want to be 100% clear on all of this before selling for both myself and the prospective buyer.

For reference I purchased the original TGC and then got the free upgrade to TGC 2019. I used on a Skytrak

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

I looked into this a while back when another person was selling their TGC 2019 license. I could be wrong but from what I remembered as a buyer it was not worth it unless the seller (original owner) was selling it at a super low cost (which he was not at that time).

    1. The original owner has to get prior approval from ProTee United (case by case approval) to sell your license by submitting your request to transfer to their email support@protee-united.com (Sounds like you may have already done this step)
    2. There is a transfer fee of $235 (This has to be submitted from you the original owner)
    3. The transfer can only happen one time from the original owner only. So the buyer needs to be aware they are the final owner of it and unable to sell it again.

So given that TGC 2019 is $895 currently and there is a transfer fee of $235 that's $660 max you could make from it. Granted its highly unlikely that anyone would give you the full asking price of $895 if they can just spend that and be the original owner and have the option (if approved) to sell their license later down the road.

If you find a buyer that understands they are never able to sell it and are OK with that then its just a matter of coming up with a number that both of you are happy with. Once you decide what your wanting to sell it for let me know.

Do you happen to know if they will have access to both tgc and tgc 2019. I originally purchased TGC and got TGC 2019 as a free upgrade that was offered at the time of buying original TGC. Thanks.

I believe you’d have to transfer both as they are separate licences.

Hi mate, I’m not sure what Uneekor is or if it’s compatible with TGC software. As far as i know the only limitation of transferring the TGC licence is that it cant be used with another SkyTrak but all the other hardware is able to use it.

I might be selling my tgc 2019 licence as I own a trackman 4 and they are not compatible with the tgc anymore with trackmans new upgrade. I’ll keep you posted.

Looks like it’s been a while since this post but wondering if you’re still looking to sell your tgc 2019?
