Still a bit confused on the carry-over subscriptions for JNPG. Will JNPG be eligible to continue beyond August 2020 with this device? I've read several places that the subscription has been discontinued unless you meet specific specifications. Will this device be able to continue JNPG?

There's no way to know 100% for sure till Aug 2020. Right now if you bought JNPG you are good to play till end of August.
It's possible that Skytrak might just keep it open so you can keep playing. You just can't buy any new subscriptions.
