  • Want to Buy: GCHawk / Uneekor

Just checking to see if anyone is looking to sell their GCHawk or Uneekor launch monitor, thanks!

While these 3 units (Hawk, Uneekor QED, Uneekor Eye XO) are physically similar, they are very different in terms of their price and software compatibility, and have different capabilities and requirements as launch monitors. E.g. QED is cheapest but requires marked balls and is more limited in club data than the other 2. Hawk has multisport capability, but Eye XO is compatible with a wider range of golf sim software than Hawk. If you aren't sure which one you want I'd advise you to do a little more research.

Thanks for the reply, man. My thought is this: The QED is perfectly suitable - but with my room dimensions, the QED will be questionable as to whether or not right/left handed players could use it based upon the strike zone. I'm still working out how much flexibility there would be in my space. The Eye XO is a no go with a much smaller strike zone. I believe it's an 18 inch strike zone. The GCHawk, being much more expensive, isn't how I really want to spend my money - but, it offers a ton of flexibility in terms of right/left handed players being able to set up a bit more offset for their orientation. That's why I tossed this out there, because I could make each work 👌🏻

Makes sense. The Uneekor units have right and left handed players teeing off from the same area, so for left/right play they need to mounted centrally and you'll need 15 ft plus room width (depends on swing of course). I assume then your room is narrower than that, so the the way the hawk operates, with its separate hitting zones, is more suitable for you. The price though! And the lack of software flexibility! Tough call.

My room is also limited width, but I'm a righty and so are my pals, so I can set up a Uneekor offset and save cash 😁

Just throwing this out there. If your primary concern is simultaneous left/right play without moving units around, and you are happy only playing FSX2020, then I believe it's possible to link 2 GC 2s to one instance of FSX (one for lefties, one for righties). This would probably be cheaper than one Hawk, but you don't get the benefit of the clear floor area, and AFAIK only FSX supports it. On the plus side, if your friends change and everyone is the same handedness you can sell one of the units. The GC2 is also slightly more flexible in software options (for single handed play) though that could change at any time depending on what Foresight do with their firmware upgrades.

Caution! I don't own any Foresight products, so please check the facts before spending any money!

I did own the GC2 & loved it. I ended up selling it when I took the golf sim from 2x4 studded walls & cement and started really finishing the space with drywall, etc. It was a great launch monitor. I have 3 daughters running around & they like to use the theater with their friends, so not worrying about $5K launch monitor on the floor was my main reason for looking into the Uneekor QED. I've got a 12ft wide space & don't want to drop $16K on the GCHawk, so might end up with the Uneekor QED offset a touch.

I seem to remember somebody successfuly mounting their QED on a slider for left/right hand play.

Here is the thread I was talking about, hope it help.

I was asked to post some pictures of the slide rail for the Uneekor QED So figured this would be the best way to do it. Base unit I did was very simple just to do the testing to make sure it would function as planned and I did not see a need to spend extra cash just for testing purposes. Also because I did not really need the
