Will I need a subscription if I just want to use it with fsx? Can I use it with Ipad as well?

No subscription is required with GC3 that comes with FSX2020 and Play. There is a Foresight App to use with iPad, but I can't comment on it because I have never used it. I don't know the seller, but the above is a good and fair price.
