  • For Sale: GC2 w/ HMT

    Finally selling my GC2/HMT.
Got a Quad last year because I needed the portability but didn't want to give up all the club data the HMT gives that you just don't/can't get with the GC3. Also would miss the Bluetooth connection of the GC2 for wireless indoor use with TGC.
But can no longer justify keeping both and haven't used the GC2/HMT for at least a year.
Everything works. HMT has brand new Illuminator board and should last for many years to come.
Can provide any info or videos of it working with both FSX and TGC upon request.
Can throw in the protective metal cover that I bought to protect from my higher handicap guests but ended up never using it.

Looking to get $6500 for both but will entertain offers for them individually if someone only wants/needs one or the other.

I've been getting a few questions about my asking prices for the units together and separately.

For my GC2 - I did look on EBAY before i listed. It seems the average asking price for a GC2 by itself is $3700. This is just the average of all the listings, throwing out the highest and lowest. I then took $1000 off that to arrive at $2700 for my GC2.
For my HMT - Not much to go by. I was only able to find one GC2 w/ HMT anywhere and it's in Europe and it would be $500+ just for shipping.

My units have both been at Foresight. Most recently my HMT to have the Illuminator board replaced. So HMT should be good for many years. See my post history for details.
And I've never had any problems with my GC2.

    So individually
    - GC2 / I would ask $2700 and I would throw in the protective case if you need it.
    - HMT / $4200. Again, I will entertain other offers but my unit is in great shape. You're still getting all the club data that ONLY GC Quad provides at 1/4 the cost. GC3 does not provide dynamic loft/lie, impact location on face, face angle, or closure rate. As someone that has used these for several years, dynamic loft and lie and impact location are must haves (not just "nice to have").

Just wanted to add that info to those that may be in the market but unaware.
GC2/HMT is still a great package and was the standard for years before the Quad for a reason. If you don't need the added features of the Quad, this is still the best option out there to me.

    Thanks for your consideration.

      A few questions for you
      where are you located?
what club data do you get on the hmt that you don’t get on a gc3?
the whole fsx 2020 fsx play, and pro confuses me, does this come with software?
      thanks

        I am in California.
Regarding what club data you get from HMT that you don't on a GC3:
See chart below. GC2/HMT provides all the same data as the GC Quad (with club data enabled of course).
For me personally, having impact location was important. Especially when hitting into an impact/simulator screen. Didn't want foot power spray on my screen and impact tape was also a bit of a pain. For dynamic lie/loft, I just got used to having that data. I like to know if I'm toe up or toe down and how much loft I'm adding or delofting to carry a given distance.
Really helped me bring down the flight of my short irons. Face to path is also very useful. I'm an engineer by trade so more data to me is a good thing. I can choose to use it or not. But I've come to understand how all the data works together to help diagnose and correct things. Because of this, GC3 was not an option for me.
A teaching pro may not need those things. But I got used to having them and did not want to do without.

        Regarding software:
You can PM me and I can answer specific questions.
Basically Foresight started with (and don't quote me on this) FR1, then FSX, then I think FSX 2018, then FSX 2020.
The newest software with the updated graphics engine is FSX Play. I have not felt the need to upgrade to FSX Play yet as I had problems using earlier iterations of it with my IPAD.
I still use FSX 2020 after using the base FSX for several years. I use mine mainly for game improvement so mostly on the range. Upgraded graphics is not a big selling point for me as I prefer other software for sim play.
As far as I know, all previous versions of software still work but are not necessarily available for purchase from Foresight. I could be wrong though.
I think Foresight is just trying to push everyone towards FSX Play now.

Thank you for the detailed response to my questions. I understand being used certain data parameters. Unfortunately I am looking for something local to me that I can pick up in person and Cali is a good ways away from me.

You mentioned FR1, do you have a dongle?

No. I never used FR1. No dongle needed to connect to FSX via bluetooth.

Ok. So I'm realizing after looking at other listings that a lack of software may be an impediment to purchasing a GC2 / HMT unless you have access to an existing license.
It seems that someone that might be interested in a GC2, HMT, or both today would fall into a few different categories:
            1) You have an existing FR1 dongle or FSX/FSX 2018/FSX 2020 License and just need the launch monitor. Again, the same data with GC3 (minus club data above is $7k), or a Quad ($16k)
            2) You only want to use the GC2 with TGC or other sim software via bluetooth for sim play, you don't need to buy the Foresight software, and are fine just using the display on the GC2 to see your ball and club data.
            3) You already have a GC2 but want the HMT to get the club data rather than spending $16k for a GC Quad.
            3) You want all the ball and club data that only GC Quad provides but want a reasonable deal for the GC2/HMT because you will likely need to purchase the Foresight software to use it to it's full capability.

            Based on this realization:
            GC2 - $2000
            HMT - $3500

Don't hesitate to PM me for questions or to discuss.

            Thanks all

Any chance you would sell just the shank tank?

I'd be willing to sell the shank tank separately but shipping might be more than the tank itself. Are you local?

In light of the 2nd Swing units for sale (not sure where all of these are coming from), I am dropping my price for the GC2. My unit is a GC2A with Superflash. Not sure how old the 2nd Swing units are. They just say "Below Average" condition and my understanding is that some/most of them are not the Bluetooth enabled variety (GC2A).

                    But I'll go:
                    GC2 - $1500
                    HMT - $3250

Motivated to sell. Don't hesitate to message me with questions/offers.

                    Thanks all.

It's still available. Lots of inquiries about just selling the GC2. But also a few asking questions about the whole package. So I want to address those first before splitting them up. It still seems the HMTs are very rare but I think the word is still getting out.
