He messaged me saying another forum member is selling gc3s but doesnt log in here. Gave me a email address. It seemed fishy so i emailed and also contacted the member on here which verified he is not selling a gc3. Sent me photos that i have seen before on ebay listings since i have been trying to buy one for a while.

It’s unfortunate that these scammers aren’t fazed by buyers who will only pay via PayPal Goods and Services. The scammers will now accept PayPal G&S and once the buyer realizes they aren’t getting what they paid for and open a case with PayPal the scammer will start to threaten the buyer with lawsuits and intimidation. The scammer has your email, name and address and will use that against you hoping that you resolve the PayPal case. They create fake bank transactions that show they returned the money to your account outside of PayPal. Fortunately PayPal is aware of these scams and get your money returned but it can be a hassle.
Be aware of users that recently joined the forum, check the users post history and see if they have been trying to sell the same item over and over, deals too good to be true, and only use PayPal goods and services.
