    Check out this thread:

Saw a post on GolfWRX in a thread about the PGA show and someone mentioned a low end Flightscope model was going to be announced. That one post is the first

My opinion is that it'll have it's market: those looking to do their own fittings on the range, or those looking for launch data while on the (somewhat empty) course.

Having data for ball speed, club speed, launch angle, and spin will give people very accurate carry on straight-ish shots.

It needs stickers placed on the ball (indoors AND outdoors) in order to measure spin...this is a bummer and makes using it at the range kind of cumbersome. Not to mention I bet range operators would HATE having stickers on their balls...thinking it would gunk up their machines..etc.

The other great thing about it is that it'll sync a video of your swing (captured via iPhone, so you can take either DTL or FO views and have data attached) without you trimming/editing...etc. your videos. If it were cheaper, I'd almost grab one just to play with at the range and have it do my video capturing/trimming/storing for me, but for me $500 is too much to pay for just that feature.

Since spin axis can't be measured, and metrics like path, and club face can't be measured, there is no shot shape. You view the data measured/calculated along side your video captured by the iPhone and it (probably) get's uploaded to myflightscope.com.

It's a shame spin need stickers, but makes sense given it's a short range radar. I could see a bunch of people buying it tho.

If you like auto trimmed videos try "Snap Swing" for IOS (free). As long as it is not too loud around you it works great.
It makes some sort of background recording and each time the microphone registers a hit it cuts a clip around the impact with custom setted time before / after the impact. So you have your bunch of trimmed video clips when you leave the range :-)

The cool thing is that someday (and probably not too far out) full featured launch monitors will hit that "pocket sized" form factor! That's awesome

Just received my Mevo and ran over to test it at the indoor driving range (raining here in michigan). First impression, much smaller than I'd think, like 4" w x 2 1/2"h x 1 1/2"d. Fits in golf bag easily which is nice. Easy to setup with the Mevo app. It videos via phone and edits each swing so that was great. Numbers were accurate. Had glitch where not all swings recorded but I think that was because of fluorescent light overhead. They warn in instructions that may cause interference. Operationally very smooth. Transferred swing data to app immediately and kept log.

Next day I took it to my son's lesson with a top teaching pro and matched it with their Flightscope expensive launch monitor and numbers were right on. So appears to be accurate. Hope to do a Trackman comparison in the near future. Very positive so far. Got it for my son who plays college golf. Needs to dial in the wedges! Hope they add more stat info in future updates.

With or without stickers? Reviews are mixed on the other site.

Sorry, been out of town. Will test this weekend. Stickers are about the size of a dimple. They give you like 50 with purchase.
