Flightscope Xi+ short game, E6, and hitting zone questions

Hi there, can anyone answer either of these questions? I did a search on the forum but couldn't see anything that's recent...

    1. How big is the hitting zone on FS Xi+? e.g. is it like Skytrak where you have to put the ball in exactly the same spot each time, or more like GC2 where you have a "square" that the ball can be placed anywhere in?

    2. Have the short chip/pitch shot readings improved? Reading stuff from over a year ago how FS struggled a bit with these shots, but now it's Q3 2017 maybe firmware updates have improved things?

Reason I'm asking is I have Skytrak which is great but 2 of my regular golfing buddies are left-handed (as am I, but naturally swing right-handed! ) and if we want to have a knock in the back yard it's a PITA to switch it round constantly. So I was thinking FS Xi+ and E6 golf (with auto-putt turned on) would be a possible solution but older posts suggest issues...

FYI my mat's tee is 13ft to net and have room to put an FS up to 11ft behind the ball which is required for Indoor Mode rather than Short Indoor Mode if this helps?

if anyone has any comments or suggestions I'd love to hear them.

    Thanks!

Radar is a lot different than camera. Radar sits about 8 feet behind the ball and the viewing area is about 18 inches wide and anywhere from 8-10 feet or so from the ball. It's a really big area that you can put the ball. You still cannot chip or putt as the ball needs to carry in the air a certain distance to be captured.

Thanks for the reply mthunt. The putting doesn't bother me, but chipping is a bit annoying.

If anyone else has some alternative suggestions for a sim setup that can switch between left and right handers easily that doesn't cost a fortune, I'd appreciate any advice.

      Thanks!
