Silver Stickers vs Silver Sharpie permanent marker

Just wondered if anybody has tried a silver Sharpie/ permanent marker instead of the silver Stickers on the balls on short indoor mode ? As I plan to unleash my Flightscope in January and was wondering if I need to order some stickers or marker.

I am only into my flightscope for about 350 shots, most with the stickers, but I haven’t seen a noticeable difference with the 30-40 shots using a marker. Nothing scientific, but marker worked ok. I did notice it was partially worn off after I was done. I used a metallic silver sharpie.
