I'm looking for a solution that doesn't require moving the launch monitor when switching between a left and right handed player. If I'm understanding correctly, the Flightscope is placed behind the golfer and does not need to be moved to accommodate both handed players. Due to space limitations, my hitting area is offset and therefore left and right handed people hit from opposite sides of the hitting mat. Does the Flightscope have to be directly in line with the golf ball in order to work properly?

Yeah, you would still need to move the launch monitor directly behind the hitter. I have a similar problem in my current set up in order to use a full set. The hitting area to pick up the golf ball is about a 6" circle. Therefore, moving hitters from one side of a 6 foot mat, to the other, would be out of the hitting zone.
