    Difference between Flightscope software and apps?

    What's the difference between the flightscope software that's provided when you buy a new unit and the apps that you can get?

      The Xi series only connects to the apps you buy through the app store, there is no other Flightscope software for the Xi. The X2 and X3 are compatible with the PC software but from what I've seen the PC software offers very little if anything more than the apps provide.

          I know the Xi+ works with the PC software. I have one and the original owner used it with that and I just talked to Flightscope who suggested that I buy the Tech Support and PC software package if I wanted to transfer the unit to my name.

          I am using the free apps which work well. Not sure of difference. There is a free trial download of the PC software.
