What's the difference between the vx and xi+ apps?

I just got an xi tour. I have been running the vx app so far with my tablet.I want to use my chromebook but the vs app isn't available for it.The xi+ app is.
What's the difference between the two apps?

The difference is that the xi+ app is very old and unsupported and the vx app is the newest, most up to date software that mirrors the pc software.
