Mevo+ vs HD Golf Full Bag Comparison

Thanks for the video! Been on the fence for awhile for (at the time) Skytrak and now also considering Mevo+; the latter which would work better in my garage based on some current width constraints.
Curious on your HD Golf setup - you touch on this in the video - have you ever used reflective tape/dots/etc. that the system requires for spin numbers? I have played on an HD Golf system several times (as recent as today) - the golf course that owns the sim setups does not have reflective material (they provide a few balls you can use, or you can bring your own)...and from when I've played I've always felt the distances just a tad too long relative to each club - my suspicion is it's because the spin is not fed into their flight heuristic (the rest of the data HD Golf captures and displays is great and typically seems pretty accurate - but spin is always just displayed as "--").

Yes I actually usually always play with the small reflective strip and it reads spin perfectly. I just was hesitant if it would cause any issue with the strip and dot. I’m going to try and and if it looks like both are working fine I will do more side by side videos. Also, HD does have an option to select “slightly longer”. Reason is sim facilities hate having so many people “think” they hit it linger and complain. So some of them select this in the settings. Mine is freshly calibrated and set to normal accurate mode.

Interesting to hear this about "slightly longer" setting. I had tried one once to compare against the GC2 (took it with me when playing) and all shots were longer in HD Golf than the GC2 readout and some were at times 2 clubs longer. Most times about 10 yards longer on clubs.Originally posted by a98cr125 View PostYes I actually usually always play with the small reflective strip and it reads spin perfectly. Those balls had the reflective strip but were wearing quit bad so some may have been no spin read and a default setting read if there is one, but when I asked if they had a boost set up in game they said there was no way to do that.
Did the same with an About Golf setup and similar distance issues were showing there as well. Those balls just had black streak marks.

Yeah some facilities might not even know about those settings but they are under the admin backend which I have access to. My buddy Lou’s a PGA pro and incredible golfer knows his distances and we have confirmed the accuracy of my unit at the normal Settings. No don’t get me wrong any unit can I have a miss read randomly. I would say with high definition I see one maybe one out of 100 or so.
