Outdoors comparison Mevo+ and GC Quad

I’m not surprised. I have used mine outdoors 3 separate times until they closed the courses and it was very good. We just scoped the flags on the range and hit to them to get the carry distances. All ball flights types were represented by the SA. It never missed any shots and we probably hit close to 200 shots. We were all very impressed.

Not surprised either. And to be perfectly honest I would start to be some what worried if I manufactured ST. And one starts to wonder about the price tag and value that much more expensive devices have in comparison.
i tested my Mevo indoors versus my ST and this confirms my own opinion. ST is dead and the only reason to buy an ST is lack of room.

Fails to mention SA...….
Seems that the GCQ had an issue with SA on the first shot. The golfer says that it went pretty straight. The GCQ had this shot a pretty strong draw..
Second shot.... they are very similar for shot shape.
Third shot...… Both were very similar for shot shape.
4th shot.…. pretty good.
5th shot....GCQ has the guy pulling this one 22 yards off center. Whereas the guys said it went down the middle. The Mevo + seemed to show a fairly straight shot data. Hopefully this guy would indicate after he hit it …...if he had a big pull.
This just proves once again that measuring SA is hard. When I had a GC2.....the only miss that I would ever see is when I hit a fade....(left SA) at times it would show a strong draw (right SA) Other times, it would show a strong pull when I expected a baby draw. It would never ever show left when it wasn't. I would say that my GC2 was accurate regarding SA about 80% of the time....which is pretty good.

I dont see the SA issue with GCquad. The video didn't include GCQuad spin axis however I agree the dispersion was offline to the left for the first shot. Mevo plus did show a SA 1.4 to the left on that shot as well as the last shot. Do you think the wind may be a factor in SA determination outdoors? I have a GC2 and dont see any issues with the SA.Originally posted by keither5150 View PostFails to mention SA...….

The Mevo plus is very good outdoors which is to be expected as the original Mevo is good as well.

Since they didn't show the SA from the GCQ, you only can look at dispersion which is a fairly good indication of SA. I guess wind could have been a factor. I have only used the GC2 outside. Being outside is the only place where one can verify if the shot shape is consistent with the SA readings. It seemed to me that shot 1 and 5 differed regarding SA. The golfer needs to state how the ball shape is as you can't tell from the video. I would think that radar would be more accurate outdoors.

There is an outdoor test versus trackman as well but here you can see some anomalies in the Mevo.
I have not seen these anomalies versus my ST or versus the GC Quad so i pretty much assume that it is interference between the two radars creating it. But it doesnt matter the overall data is really good.
So outdoors this is just as good as any other LM.
I have asked a guy that has access to a GC Quad to do indoor tests as well and if those are just as positive as the above i think the Mevo isnt just a ST killer but an actual game changer for a lot of golfers.
