I recently purchased a used Flightscope Xi unit. The sale also included a tablet with the Skills app installed. With the Skills App, I also get club data (speed, face, path, dynamic and spin loft, horizontal/vertical swing plane, etc) besides the standard ball data. However, I can only get the club data with that app. If I choose to use with other apps, it only displays the standard Xi ball data. I know that Xi and Xi tour models have the same hardware and it depends on the firmware/software installed on the unit. I am wondering how such a unit comes into market, a mistake by Flightscope? But most importantly, can I trust the club data?

I believe they accidentally released a version of the app that showed all the data years ago. So that seller just installed it on a tablet and made sure not to update it. -
Thanks for the insight. Does that mean Xi and Xi Tour generate the same data except that the App can detect which model is connected and hide club data for Xi model?Comment
