  • Ordered a Mevo+

Got the mevo+ on order, guess I’ve got plenty of time to plan the rest of the garage build while I wait for it to ship!😫

The waiting is the worst right!?

I just saw today on the Flightscope site it's an 8-10 week lead time now.. ugg... painful. Worth the wait though.. I waited the initial 5 weeks when pre-orders just started, used it for a few weeks and had to send back for repair... been waiting to get it back since end of March.. but thankful it got fixed and shipped out today.. should have it back by Wednesday next week..

I had some spin axis and launch angle reading issues in short indoor mode... so it needed a recalibration.. but for the short time I had it, it was great and glad I sold my Skytrak and replaced with the Mevo+ (aside from the couple issues). Outdoors it was spectacular, something I never really did with the Skytrak because it was a pain with no reads in the sunlight. Also really enjoyed the E6 courses and short game practice areas that come with for free... I hated paying the $99/yr fee on Skytrak for a usable range, just a thorn in my side..

All this waiting also gave me time to work on a more permanent hitting area setup.. that will eventually be another post when it's further along..

Good luck and enjoy when you get it!

Thanks! I am pretty excited! I have found one thing that may be an issue I’ll have to resolve skimming through threads apparently it can be a problem if you’re impact screen is in front of the garage door with the mevo + which is what I was planning....I could put the sportscreen I have ordered at the back wall opposite of door, but that’s so limiting and much less useful than hitting at the door. So I’m really hopeful a solution for that gets figured out soon! I really don’t wanna have to end up with a skytrak just for that reason!

Hard to say if a garage door behind your screen will be an issue or not.. I haven't seen anyone post with their experience hitting toward a metal garage door to know if they had issues or not. I had some metal shelving units behind my screen, and didn't make a difference... I got the same results with it behind my screen, and after I moved it.. only way to know for sure is to try it out and see, at least Flightscope mentions screen material may help "if" you have issues, so that tells me they aren't too worried about it or they would give a hard "no, that won't work" or "metal garage doors are sure to cause interference"

True, Only way to find out will be to get it set up and start hitting balls! Fingers crossed it isn’t an issue

TxBriley Dax on this forum has had some experience with metal doors with his Trackman. He explained it somewhere so look up his posts. Metal doors can be disruptive. He did have a problem if I remember correctly. tonybrown32 suggestion is also a good one. Others have done that. Welcome to the clan. Sorry about the wait. It will be worth it.

Good call out.. I remember several threads with discussion speculating around "if" a garage door would cause interference, but didn't see any actual real experiences after that.. but of course, haven't read every thread here.. just a lot of them.. lol.. now i'm curious and will have to look up some of those threads!
Working...
