  • Flightscope X3 for Indoor Setup

    Hi,

I'm strongly considering buying an X3 for my indoor setup.I have enough room to use it, so I'm not worried about that. Hoping to use it a little outdoor as well. Does anyone own one currently and use it indoors? I am just looking for insight on how the unit runs, issues indoors, etc. It's solely for personal use.

Any and all feedback is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    aj

I have no problems with my X2, it picks up everything in short indoor mode using the Flightscope software and works perfectly. Although I have no idea how accurate it actually is, it feels pretty good, given what it shows when I hit good shots vs bad shots, although I have no empirical evidence. On a range, it matches the shot pretty accurately, so I trust that it is accurate when in short indoor mode with the ball only traveling 10ft. The X3 has better alignment/setup, and uses both radar and camera so is apparently more accurate, especially for chips and putting. I would definitely recommend one. What are your doubts or concerns?

BTW you should probably go and delete your other duplicate post, otherwise you might get fragmented replies.

I have the X3 with E6 Connect in my indoor sim. Have had it for about a year. There were some growing pains for the first year. But since the the updates in May 2020 all seems to be running well. Only time that you may get a misread is on long putts over 30'. I am very happy with it so if you have any questions I will try to answer them based on my experience. I have it set to short indoor and have it positioned at 8' behind tee and have 11' of travel to screen. When using Flightscope apps it reads all shots, chips and putts. Again the only time I get a misread is in E6 with the longer putts, but even this is rare.

Thanks guys for the response!! Sounds like FS makes good products, and it will likely be what I end up doing. Just wanted to check in with some people before making such a big purchase!
