Mevo + height to hitting mat help

So I got my Mevo+ a few days ago and I’m happy with it this far. I’ve been using a Xi Tour during the long wait for it to arrive and I’m generally impressed with the Mevo’s accuracy compared to the Xi tour.

anyway my new issue today is setup. In my first few uses I had the Mevo setup on a 1 3/4” thick block of wood to match the height of my CCE hitting mat with just a gap in between. Based on what I’ve read here on various threads that is the worst option and I should be using it with the Mevo set on the floor and adjust in the app setting to 2”. Well I tried that and the results were ugly. Tried wedges, irons and driver. All were a mess, most noticeable was driver launch angle which averaged about 27 degrees, which lead to shots 200’ in the air with crazy carry distances.

anybody else using a block to match mat height? Seems to work fine for me but FS says specifically not to.

Brandon go with what works for you. Honestly it seems like Flightscope support tells different people different things. I have had my mevo+ since the middle of March and the one thing I can tell you is that mevo+’s are finicky. I had multiple issues with the first one to the point I had to send it back to them and they sent me a different one. Still have some issues but overall it seems better. Anyway, everyone’s set up is different so your need to try different configurations and send feedback to FS via the app. It also helps to send emails with detailed descriptions about what is going on. Also when calling FS support try to always talk with the same person if possible. This way they become familiar with your issues and what you have tried to correct them. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I’m going to do some more tests over the weekend. I was happy with my initial setup but researching made me curious. I was just shocked how much following the FS instructions affected the data, in a bad way.
