    Mevo+ Putting Speeds

I've gotten the putts to trigger almost every time (maybe 1 out of 100 won't trigger). Now, the only thing that is frustrating is consistency of putting speed. Has anybody found a way to make this consistent?

I can make two of the same putting strokes and, depending on the follow-through of the putter, can get very different results. If I keep the putterhead low and stop the follow-through quickly, the speed of the ball comes off faster than if I make a normal stroke. The result is a 10 foot putt or a 20 foot putt. It's driving me insane when trying to play in tournaments. I go from a birdie to a bogey. My setup for putting is ideal. No gap between the LM and the putting surface, no drop offs.

Is anyone else getting this result? Anybody have any suggestions to make it better?

I am not too sure how accurate the putting speed is on the Mevo +. I have a Mevo + but have not set it up yet as I am putting the finishing touches on my new sim room. I purchased the Mevo+ to do some side by side testing with my GSA sim.. I also have pretty realistic expectations when it comes to putting with the Mevo +. Hopefully, Flightscope can improve on putting as time goes on. My GSA system is nothing short of fantastic for putting. Once I have them both up and running. I will be posting some side by side videos.

Jake, it is interesting .....what you are saying about your follow through. Perhaps Flightscope is using the end of your putting stroke as a trigger when to start measuring speed. Since the ball is constantly decelerating..... it might make sense. A longer , slower follow through, may start measuring the ball a little later.

In the meantime, you may want to try and be consistent with your stroke.

Try this.....take a putt that travels 5 feet in your sim room....next, putt one about 7 feet......Do you see a speed increase?

keither5150 yes I saw an increase in speed. The follow-through has a major influence speed. It's very interesting and frustrating. I think I've come to the conclusion that I'm just going to have to have a different stroke on Sim golf. The only downside is that for actual guests to my sim studio it will be very hard for them to gauge speed.

      Anyone else having this issue?

sim putting is not great on any system. my experience has been slower, smoother strokes seem to work best and give consistent reads. short faster strokes tend to result in extra distance on the putts. could just be me but for any putt less than 30 ft or so, the slow long stroke works well. once it goes higher than 30ft, i have to go to the shorter faster stroke and then it gets difficult.

this is for level putts. i'm assuming you have accounted for the slope of the green, especially after the hole. i find that if its uphill after the hole, i can be more aggressive, downhill after the hole treat with a lot of respect. i hardly ever hole a downhiller longer than 10ft. i just end up lagging them to gimme
