  • latest 2020 iPad Pro lan connection

I have on order a Mevo+ and know that you have to connect the Mevo+ via wifi to the iPad Pro or any iOS device. My question is since the iPad Pro uses a usb C port and I have a usb c dongle with expansion ports with a LAN port on it, could I use that to connect to my home internet for online gaming with apps that require me to connect to the internet for faster speeds then uses the cell single? while I know I can use it without anything else connected and wifi turned off, the reason I ask this is cause I dont have the Mevo+ yet to to connect to the devices wifi while also having a lan connection on my iPad Pro. Not sure if the iPad is able to handle dual connections like a PC can. Wondering if anyone else that has this can try or has tried with success.
    Thank You

Wondering if anyone has tried this yet? If this works I feel like I can then use airplay to send the video to my Apple TV which would fill the screen more as well.

interesting thought!!! I haven't tried it yet and always set up bluetooth data off my phone to my ipad and then wifi to my flightscope. If this works this could really help with ease of setup.

Let me know if you have the ability to try this. My Mevo wont be here for another week or 2. Very curious on this.

The new iPad air and the iPad pros have a dual WiFi connection which will allow you to connect to both the Mevo+ and your local network....I do this on my laptop at present to use the E6 connect demo and I will probably soon invest in the iPad air to take advantage of the 5 course offer.

MaS - can you explain how to do this? there is no where in my settings to allow for a second connection.

I have the ipad pro 11 and love it but haven't tried or even knew it would allow dual wifi. I always set up for the phone for data on bluetooth and then wifi to the flightscope. Next time I have it up, Ill see if I can get it working on dual wifi.

I have the new IPad Air that just came out and it does not allow dual WiFi connections.

But it is possible to AirPlay. I just got apple AirPlay to work with the Mevo+. You have to make sure both your Apple TV and your iPad (or iphone) are both on the Mevo+ WiFi network signal.
You will lose internet on your Apple TV and won’t be able to play online but it will allow you to AirPlay your iPad (or iPhone) to your Apple TV hooked up to your projector.
            Works great.

When you select the Mevo WiFi network on your Apple TV it may seem to stall but just screen mirror your IPad (or iPhone) and and it will allow you to AirPlay it.

The USB-C-to-ethernet dongle works perfect on my iPad Pro. I'm able to connect to my mevo+ via wifi an to the rest of the world via ethernet simultaneously
