  • Buying Mevo+ Second Hand

Hi All, I am talking to someone about purchasing their Mevo+ and I wanted to see if you all had any recommendations for what to look at to verify the Mevo+ is working correctly.Aside form using the Launch monitor that is.

If I were to meet them somewhere should I have it turned on and verify it syncs to my iPad? Or has anyone who purchased second hand done anything to verify functionality?

I am open to all recommendations, thanks!

I purchased mine recently 2nd hand (eBay), one thing I was not aware of is the E6 connect license particular to your iPad use. It is a one time license and is not transferable. Be prepared to open the wallet for sim courses if that's how you were planning on using the Mevo+ (outside of Flightscope range & FS skills)!

Good to know, the person said they would give me the log in for the e6. I wonder if you can change the email and password info if you have the initial log in?

I'm not sure on that - I think though if you can use their log in you can unbind / bind the license to different iOS devices. Good luck - hope it works out for you!

The wait time seems to have dropped recently. If you are concerned about purchasing 2nd hand then I would suggest going with a new one from FS. However if you choose the 2nd hand one make sure you meet at a range to verify that the unit turns on and works. Also make sure the seller unbind the E-6 license from his/her iOS device and you can add it to your device and make sure you can log into the e-6 portal, that is if the e-6 courses are included.

Thanks, I think safest way would be to just wait. I’m just being impatient and saw one for sale.

Did you order from Flightscope? I just ordered last night from them hoping that they would have better fulfillment. It looks like a couple months ago they were estimating 10-12 weeks and now it is down to 6ish weeks.

I'm pretty sure I saw some FS direct orders being delivered in 4 weeks lately. If you are lucky and they cranked up production for Christmas, maybe you can do better. In general 2nd hand seems risky. The units seem too delicate and warranty seems like a must.
