  • My Mevo + build

    Hi all,

I am very close to finishing my budget build at home, I am lucky that there's an old small barn like building outside that I used to keep logs in. I thought this would be perfect for a simulator.
It is now up and running with a few jobs to tidy up, I'm expecting delivery of a new impact screen next week to put in front of the old archery net that I have at the moment.
All seems good on full shots but I'm also having the short chips issue that lots of you are getting. Lots of no reads on the real short ones just off the green, I have to hit it harder for it to register then it just goes too far. I'm reading through all of the threads on here and I'm sure I'll find the perfect set up for me. Putting seems ok apart from again the short ones. I'm using E6 on IOS.
    Here's a couple of pictures.

Thank you, I cut up an old driving range mat into strips. I now have one at the backof the tee as well so my unit sits pretty level to the putting strip

This is awesome. Nice work man! Question. Do you have your mevo at the same height as the hitting/putting mat? Or is it lower? I can't seem to get short chips and putting to work yet. How is that working for you with this setup? Also, where is your projector and computer sitting with this setup? Appreciate any info you can share on this.

It looks like one of your issues might be that there is a gap between the Mevo+ and the hitting strip. It should all be at one consistent level from the Mevo+ to the hitting and putting area through to the screen. It looks like the TrueStrike mat is sitting up 1"-2" higher than the floor.

            Thank you,
I now have an extension of the putting strip behind the mat, I tried my mevo on that level and puts worked ok apart from short ones. Chips are just not happening for me unless i hit them twice as hard as needed. I use an ipad at the moment running the IOS version of E6. Projector is up on ceiling.

Hi, thanks for the info. With the added strip tagged on behind it is now sitting at the same height.
I'll post a picture later to show what I mean.
