  • mevo plus wont connect to wifi on PC

I just received my new mevo + and successfully set it up on my new ipad pro. It has worked perfectly with the ipad.

However, when trying to connect the mevo + to the wifi of my new gaming PC with windows 10, I am having major issues.

When the PC finds the mevo + device, I try and connect with the correct password but then I then get a message which says “unable to connect to this network”.

When trying to connect the mevo, the wifi is not connected to the internet and the wifi of the PC is not connected to any other devices. When testing, I have also made sure all the apple devices were turned off and the mevo was not connected to any other device.

I have also ensured the latest firmware has been applied to the mevo plus using the flightscope app on the ipad and also checked that the wifi adaptor on the computer has the latest firmware.

By way of further troubleshooting, I confirm that the mevo + has successfully connected to 3 different apple devices (including an apple mac) in my home, but will not connect on any of the PC's in my house . I tried 3 different computers and none would connect. All the PC’s gave me the same message “unable to connect to this network”.

I then tried connecting the mevo + using a google phone and the device connected without issue.

The wifi in the PC is otherwsie working fine and connects seamlessly to my internet and also allows my apple phone to connect through personal hotspot.

This is obviously extremely frustrating as I intend using my mevo + with TGC 2019 but given the PC cannot connect to the mevo +, I have not been able to do so.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Mark.

Is you PC hardwired in to the router and you are trying to connect the mevo to the internal Wifi? You are going to need 2 network connections in order to play TGC with the mevo. I had to buy a second WIFI dongle from amazon. Internal wifi connects to the internet and the external wifi connects to the mevo. Not sure if this has something to do with your problem though.

Disregard - I ended up creating unique names for my adapters which helped get the connections straight.-----------

Can anyone point to instructions or help on how to setup and maintain the 2 wifi approach? I'm too far from my router to be able to use ethernet for internet.

I purchased a USB wifi adapter and now have 2 wifi devices on my PC. But they won't stay connected to different devices. They want to connect to the same network. So if I start with the main adapted connected to my wifi and the USB adapter connected to the Mevo+, they both end up connected to one or the other after a few minutes.

I am having the same problems. Has anyone resolved this issue?

I connect via wifi on my brand new pc I built for my sim and when I launch e6 it said flightscope device not found?

is there something I have to do to setup the Mevo+ for a pc? It has no issues at all with connection on an iPad. But I bought the Mevo+ To use with my pc.

        any advice would be great!

I have a 2 WIFI adapter setup similar to yours. I don't have issues. You need to dedicate an adapter for internet and an adapter for the Mevo+. Choose 1 adapter for internet and 1 for for the Mevo+ and don't ever connect a device to both or swap them around. I am assuming your WIFI is password protected and I know the Mevo+ has a password so you must have entered this information into both adapters for each.

I think to fix this you can open adapter connection settings. And mess with the "connect automatically when in range" setting. (I think you have to be connected to view this setting) you may have to connect the mevo to both and adapters and disable it on both.

For me I leave the connect automatically when in range setting for internet On. But I disable it for the mevo+ and always manually connect after my Mevo+ has powered on fully.

          Good luck.

I have my computer hardwired to the internet through Ethernet. My mevo+ connects via my WiFi card, however when I open any sim app such as the e6 connect demo or the Awesome golf demo, they both cannot find the flightscope device. Even when I go into either apps setting and look up the simulator tab, I select flightscope and it shows 0 devices available. I'm at a loss..

Flight scope is supposed to do a remote check on my system whenever they're available to do so and hopefully that will help. I'm just a little frustrated that i spent the money and it's been a difficult process to use the device.

Having the same issues. Can’t connect to my cpu WiFi card. When I open tgc 2019 it can’t find the device. It worked the very first time out of the box but never again.

does anyone have step by step directions on how to fix this? No internet, secured. Had the same problem with the Skytrak I used to own and had to get on a long phone call with Skytrak support to fix it. I remember it taking a while but by the end of it was an easy fix.

I am having this same issue. Has anyone figured out how to fix it? I have a new 2023 Mevo+. It works intermittently via iPad, but will not connect to my Laptop WiFi which is connected to the internet via ethernet.
