Im getting conflicting information on these units. Im about to pull the trigger on a used unit. Ive called flightscope and one rep said it was good to go, another said it was blacklisted by taylormade. What exactly does this mean? Will there be no support offered? Will it still be functional? Will taylormade try to intervene at all? Flightscope and taylormade really havent offered any answers

Xi plus taylormade tour preferred blacklisted

The Taylormade Tour Preferred (same model as the Xi Tour) were made available to Taylormade staffers at a discounted price. Part of the agreement was that the unit's couldn't be resold before x number of years. That lockout period ended a few years ago. I owned one of these models and FlightScope had no problem taking my money to register it in my name. There really isn't any reason to register it or buy the service agreement unless you need the unit serviced. All the firmware updates are pushed through the Xi app for free.
