Mevo + Very Positive Information!

I received my Mevo+ 2 days ago and like many others I’ve seen on the forum, I to had multiple issues with ghost putting and chipping issues.

Thanks to all of the posts and comments on little tricks to fix the issues, I was able to get the ghost putting to stop all together! But.......the no reads started! I would only get maybe 2 out of 10 to read and the ones that did were not accurate at all! So it was on to plan B!

I called Flightscope this afternoon and John remote logged into my PC, installed some software, changed some numbers around a “POOF” all of my troubles were gone!!! I have had every put read and chipping as close as 2yards off the green are all working perfectly!

The tech support at Flightscope are wonderful! They told me that there is going to be a FW update in the next few weeks that is supposed to solve many issues with putting and chipping!

What firm ware is your mevo+ running after the update?

Mine is running .16. I asked if I needed to revert and they said no because he was going to make some parameter changes. I played 18 at Pebble last night and only had 1 misread on a short chip which was bladed and I’m glad it mis read! Lol. Had gimmies set to 2 yards so I had to put and had no issues at all!

Sure!
my tee to ball is 7’
ball to screen is 11’

chipping and putting are both at 5’. This was recommended by FS.

I did putt from 7’ today just to see the difference and there wasn’t much. Had a couple non reads but not sure if it was TGC? I had to replace the ball in a different spot in the game then it read.

I just set mine up today and e6 is unplayable. As soon as im on the green i get a 50ft ghost putt. how did you get it to stop? Ill reach out to flightscope on Monday, but i was wondering what other tips you tried.

I was getting this with TGC 2019 with a putt over 31ft. Called support and they showed me a setting that would fix it. Not sure if you have the same thing with e6. In TGC settings it was called "fastputting threshold". Mine was set to 32ft. After 32ft it would go into a very sensitive state and ghost putt. If you have the same setting you can try and set it to a larger number...They claim the new firmware should fix this issue, but maybe this will help for now.

I had to build a bug screen cage around my projector. If yours is hanging too low or too far out in front of your Mevo +, it will cause interference. Once I wrapped mine it stopped ghost putting.

Where is the Mevo relative to tee/putting and chipping? Meaning is it lined up behind the ball when you tee off? And is the unit or camera what is lined up?

The FW update was supposed to be released last week. I hope they get it out. I have worked with FS and things are better but there are still some random results when I make short pitches and putting is still off. I can putt the same speed 3 times and get 3 different results

My ball is lined up with the camera with full shots and just off center for chips and putts. We did have some mis reads with chips this weekend that were definitely off. A hooded wedge at 10 yards would act like a flop but I can live with that for now. I do hope that the FW update does come out soon also. We noticed that though we didn’t have many non reads on putts, we did have inconsistent speeds like fortner28 said. A little frustrating but again....I can live with it for now. I will say the as far as accuracy goes, the FS unit is more accurate to what I see on the course compared to a similarly priced unit.
