Mevo+ E6 Connect and iPad wifi

Do I have to have iPad with cell and data plan to be able to see my stats from E6?
I played last night as Guest at the range and played 18. After I finished I connected back to normal wifi for a minute or two and then closed out the app.
I went to E6 portal login this am and saw some of my driving range stats from last night. Not sure if this supposed to happen, but I can stay logged in after playing for data to xfer if that is what it is doing.
Just wondering if anyone has experience with this?

You need to be online.
E6 delivered a recent update about fixing a bug for not syncing data but I didn’t see that it has covered delayed syncing when you are offline.
personally I am using 2 solutions to avoid that :
- I share my iPhone connection using Bluetooth with my iPad (works but not 100% reliable and if you are disconnected when E6 wants to sync it is lost).
- I bought an USB C Ethernet adapter compatible with iPad. It is very plug and play and reliable, of course you need to have a switch or a Ethernet to wifi or CPL adapter close enough.
