  • Replacing the Mevo+ battery

My Mevo+ won't power on and I'm out of warranty. I had been having issues with it measuring spin (I was seeing all calculated spin) and was working with support trying to figure out what was going on. Then.. it just wouldn't power on. FS told me to "find the correct battery and replace myself. it's easy and like $10." I was also told these batteries only last about a year which seems nuts. Has anyone done this?

Good info in this thread. Going to finally replace my battery so won’t have to take the anker external battery every time. Just went with the 3600mAh. Seems easy enough.

I purchased right from the nitecore website. No issues swapping it out.

Did the 4000 battery work fine in your mevo?

I am thinking on replacing and the extra charge would be fine

This is the battery Flightscope suggested I use to replace the current one in my Mevo+. I think there are 2 different battery sizes for the mevo+, but I am not exactly clear on that.. Also, you can use "10off" coupon code on nitecore website for discount.
Next-Gen 5000mAh 21700 Battery The next generation 21700 rechargeable battery from NITECORE, the NL2150 has an amazing 5000mAh capacity. This powerful battery has improved performance, and superior energy density compared to previous 18650 batteries. An ideal companion for the NEW P12 tactical flashlight from NITECORE,

Sorry for the slow reply but yes it's been working fine. Mine was one of the first Mevo+ units, the newer ones may support larger capacities.
