I heard rumours quite a while ago that Flightscope were looking at releasing their software for PC? Is there any more on this? Id dearly love to be able to use my projector with FSgolf apps - im using the E6 range - which is fine tbh but it would be nice to have different options.

I was told by Flightscope support to expect version 12 to release sometime around the PGA show in January. -
Unless I am missing something Version 12 does not mean this will be a Windows application. Something inside me says they are going to release the update for RCT and Impact location (X3) first. Then they will release the Windows platform once everyone is in tune with their newly purchased Mevo+ from the holidays. I worry they will restrict the X3 on Windows because the VX application is already there and they want $750 for a key if your buying a used unit. I know it includes a replacement plan but still it’s not exactly what I would call economical for a range and club fitting capabilities. I shouldn’t complain because I think FlightScope has definitely put the customer first compared to the other manufacturers but I’m not sure I can explain another purchase to the significant other.Comment

FS has been saying a release for windows is coming soon for 2 years already. Not holding my breath as i would been dead a long time agoComment

Just noticed they released v. 6 of the FSGolf app today... Haven't had a chance to download it yet. Hopefully there's hints in there.Comment

Hitting 3/4 flighted wedge shots with the new update and it worked flawlessly. Never missed a shot with spin or face impact. This was one of the best updates so far. Plus they fixed the target alignment line and made it thin…finally.

Great spin numbers. Haven’t tried it enough yet to notice a difference. I think my mat maybe legitimately taking some spin off since it’s not a premium mat.
Super cool on the impact location and the picture. Do you know if the impact location is being used to calculate gear effect? If nothing else I figure third party software can take that data and use it to calculate gear effect.Comment

I don’t know about the gear effect. I would think gear effect should translate into spin axis and if it’s getting good data on spin axis (RCT) then it shouldn’t be basing it on the camera. I know they were using fusion to help with chips and short shots but gear effect doesn’t really effect them.

I prefer FSGolf over my E6 Connect as i think I'd rather trust Flightscope's flight model over E6... But AwesomeGolf has a rather nice driving range that supports most of FSGolf features..Originally posted by preludesam View PostComment
