    Switched from Skytrak to Mevo+

So far, I could not be more pleased. I sold my Skytrak in anticipation of the Bushnell Launch Pro, but once the price was announced, I knew it wasn't for me. I liked the ST, but after having the Mevo+ for about 2 weeks, I'm glad I went with the Mevo+.

Here's some of the reasons why I like it better than the Skytrak:

I don't have to live in fear of a shanked shot plunking the Mevo+ because it's 8 feet behind me; not in harms way.

The readout occurs before the ball even lands. The 2-3 second wait with the ST was like waiting for water to boil.

Rarely do I get a no read, and when it happens it was because my shot was so far off. I see it as the M+ giving me a Mulligan.

    It works with putting! Amazing.

I called Flightscope once for tech support and they were awesome. I like that they keep improving their products with updates. Reminds me of Tesla.

I can use the Mevo+ outside, even in bright sun.

No annual fees to use built in capabilities.

No moving parts, so it will probably last a very long time.

Count me as a happy Mevo+ owner.

Awesome to hear. I've really enjoyed my unit as well. I think they will continue to improve it and it will only get better. I have no issues putting or chipping. Driver spin is high when it is estimated, but I'm hopeful that it will be addressed in upcoming releases. Perhaps the Fusion tracking will help with that as well. I've really started to get into the TGC 2019 tours and have had fun playing those rounds. I also have kids and not having the unit next to the ball has been a life saver. I image a few of my sons shanks would have taken out a Skytrak or other photo based LM. I also take it to the range with me and it gets a lot of attention from surrounding golfers. Good luck with yours. I think they are well built units and will last a long time. E6 for me is too short with Driver, but TGC seems perfect.

Glad to hear. Btw, how do you find putting compared to ST?

I've only had the Mevo+ for about 7 weeks and if I had a ST instead, both my boys would have hit it 100% already as they've hit some shots I never knew was possible. haha. and I also bought the Mevo+ over the ST for shorter delay, no moving parts, built-in camera, better outdoors, no subscription, and longer warranty etc. I'm also a very satisfied user as it's doing exactly what I would have hoped it would, and that is to make me hit more balls at home to improve my game and gain better swing consistency. I guess ST would have been able to do the same but yeah, that extra shot delay would have been very annoying for sure.

I only hit the Skytrak hard, once, and it survived. The optional metal case protects the shell of the Skytrak, but it really does not cushion impact. The Skytrak is good, I really would have been happy with it had I not tried the Mevo+.

The Mevo really does just get better and better as time goes on. last year the SkyTrak beat it by far, but now they are very close when it comes to number, and I have also seen the misreads drop by a huge margin. They are doing a lot of good stuff with all the updates at Flight scope right now.

What software do you think is best for the Mevo? just in the process of finishing up my build, looking for projector, PC and software?

Rob 2333 For best simulation play, it would have to be TGC 2019 hands down. Mevo+ does come with iOS version of E6 also for free and it's quite good. But yeah, it's no TGC 2019. For best driving range, included FS golf and FS Skills is best (only on mobile / tablets atm but PC version is said to come later this year).

As a recent Sim owner and Mevo+ user The only thing I have from a negative perspective are the 10yd or under chips on TGC2019. On e6 iPad it works just fine. Wonder if it’s the angle of the unit? Anyhow Mevo+ is awesome and excited for the fusion tracking update as well as winter in Minnesota is right around the corner!

as a user of E6, and TGC on xbox, what makes it so much better with the M+? Is it really just the amount of custom courses you can play?

That is why I like it better. E6 graphics are good and the gameplay is great. I like that there are thousands of courses and I own the game instead of paying monthly. I am really hoping for them to take one of these 2K games and make it a sim.
