Just finished testing with both E6 and TGC 2019.. HUGE HUGE difference in E6 for me. E6 driver was always super spinny with Driver, but with .19 numbers are finally realistic. Finally finally finally able to play E6 and feel like driver is going the proper distance.
Some notes about my setup. I have 8 ft Mevo to ball and 11 feet ball to screen. I use short indoor setting.
TGC I also noticed a difference, but not as drastic as I did with E6. TGC has a lot more roll out vs E6, so you still get more total yards in TGC vs E6, but I now feel E6 is in line with what I would see on a typical course.
Previously on E6 I would get 4000+ spin on perfect hit shots. Some examples from the past would be 100mph clubhead speed 151 ball speed 1.51 smash factor 12 degree launch but 4400 spin.. The numbers were just not lining up with how well the ball was struck.. Today, on similar shots I got 2200, 2350, 1830. My highest spin was 2770 today. AMAZING!
What did you notice different on TGC? Less driver spin? More bite on the green? Crossing fingers. Side note: I'm on f18 and use RCT balls and it's pretty damn solid.
My AVR still shows .27. I didn't notice anything crazy with TGC vs .18 version. Didn't play a full round of golf with it yet though. For me the main difference was with driver spin. Much better readings with E6 for sure. Finally feel like E6 is worthwhile after all this time. I would have perfect hit drives with 1.5 smash factor at 105 club head speed and 155+ ball speed carry only 225 or 230 which was total BS due to high spin rate. With .19 I now get 255 - 265 carry and get decent roll out. Way more realistic and playable now vs .18.
In TGC I would get 3800 rpm spin, but for whatever reason the game would compensate and give me decent roll out and total distance. From what I can tell in early testing my total carry and distance have also increased on TGC 2019. I do think TGC 2019 is maybe a bit too generous with the roll out and total yardage. For my club head speed / ball speed I wouldn't expect to hit 290 or 300 very often, I'm usually 255 - 275 on the course, but with the new update I think my average will be 265 - 295. It's a little inflated, but I'll take if vs being 30 yards short like E6 used to read.
Overall very happy with .19 firmware. I was so frustrated with E6 for the longest time and it was really unplayable for me, but now with .19 I will possibly prefer it over TGC. Time will tell, and I'll continue to test. Perhaps .19 also fixes the excessive bounce and run out on TGC 2019 and that would be a game changer for me as well. Super excited about this update either way and can't wait to have the guys over to test out the new firmware and get their feedback as well.
I spoke to FS support about .27 and .29. They said that AVR firmware never updates. The older models have .27 and newer have .29 but nothing is different between the two versions.. I personally find that hard to believe because it’s firmware but that’s what they told me.
Maybe newer units have a new (or different) wifi adapter (dongle), therefore a different version of the AVR FW (this is the FW for unit communication).
I just updated to 0.19 and played a few rounds on TGC 2019.
I feel like the driver spin issue has been fixed. Also, more exciting news of this update is that I can now put 99% without any no-reads.
Putting seems much faster now but, it reads around 99% of my puttings for 4 rounds. It has only two no-reads during playing 4 rounds.
I don't know what update it is, but it looks to me that it may already have applied fusion tracking somehow in this update.
Or, they just increased the strength of the transmitter signals so it can read putting much better and much faster.

Just played a full competitive round on v19. Two major changes I noticed:
- Putting was crazy fast. I was putting 3.5ft from m+ and found that the only way to get more accurate speed was to putt from around 4.5ft from m+. Will continue to play with it but know that putting is way faster and seems the further from m+ you putt the slower the putts go.
- more no-reads for putts and one major mis-read on an 8-iron. I previously hadnt had any issues with these.
I think driver spin was a tiny bit better but not to the extent I was hoping.
Now putting from same spot where I hit my full shots (6.5ft from m+). Much better putting results and actually feels like the rollout in TGC is very similar with roll out IRL (Ie, if your ball goes 10 feet on your mat, it will roll 10 feet in TGC.
Had some times where putting gets frozen. But other than that putting has been fixed for me.
Didn't notice anything different for shots / chips. I never had issues with this anyways.
But for putting, might be just placebo but it seemed more reliable.
Every putt went as expected with zero mis-reads / no-reads.
(usually I have 1-2 bad reads on putts per 9 holes)
Will play some more later today to see if this keeps up.
I'm playing some par 3s now and the chipping actually seems to stick on the greens better. I've actually had bite for the first time since I got the mevo
