    Xi tour data

    Hey,
first of all I'm new to this forum and I hope that my questions belongs here. If not please tell me so I can delete it.
I recently bought a Flightscope Xi tour from a Clubfitter for a decent price and I have some questions about the data and your experience. I think everything works fine but from time to time there are some crazy misreads on the angle of attack and the low point. So when I go to the Range I set everything up and measure the distance from the Unit to the ball but the angle of attack is often really different even when I hit the ball nearly the same, only the spot changes a bit because of the divots. Could that result from the range because it´s not perfectly flat or could that be more a technical problem. And when I hit it of a mat and compared it side by side with a TM4 the results were really different too. Only when im hitting of a mat from the same spot every time without a the TM4 near to the Flightscope I had the feeling that is relatively constant only when I first hit the mat and than the ball it doesn't show a negative low point and a positive attack angle. It shows a crazy negative attack angle and a low point way too much after the ball. So why can't the LM read it correctly. So what are your experiences with a xi tour because of course I'm a bit afraid that there is some technical issue. So those two data points are the only two that looks odd some time. I hope I could express all my problems and I'm sorry if there are some mistakes because I am not a native speaker.

Summary: My problems are -the attack angle when I´m hitting it of the gras

-compared it to a trackman 4 and the numbers were really different
-crazy numbers when I first hit the mat and than the ball

There was an article discussing how Flightscope measures AoA, compared with how Trackman does it.
A few weeks ago the team from Flightscope came out to test their product against the juggernaut of the launch monitor industry Trackman.  The goal for the Flightscope team was to prove that there is no true difference between the two devices other than the initial purchase price and annual

However, given what you described, I suspect there is something else going on, likely some technical issue. I am saying that because my Xi tour unit has been consistently producing some obviously wrong club data in the last couple of months. It seems there is a negative bias in the club path and face-to-path measurement/reporting. It produces negative path and negative face-to-path numbers even though the ball flight is a draw, i.e. starting slightly right of the target and then curving back toward it.
I have tried to reach out to customer support but the response is very poor. It's been >2 months and I sent them many screen captures and raw data but they are still "working" on the issue.
You should contact them as well to make them realize that there is likely some technical issues affecting many users.
