  • Childproofing Options for Floor Based Launch Monitors

I have a permanent setup but currently have to setup and put away my Mevo+ every time I use it because I have young kids that are in there all the time and can't be trusted not to touch it when I'm not around. Has anyone come up with a way of "childproofing" their floor based launch monitor hardware so they can leave it out without having to worry that their kids are going to destroy it? Ideally I would like to find a solution that not only protects the launch monitor from damage but also prevents the kiddos from being able to knock it out of alignment. Was thinking some sort of enclosure that can be secured to the floor with either a clear plexiglass front or a door that can be locked when not in use.

I have a similar issue but no solution to provide. I think your idea is brilliant

Charlie Wood's daddy didn't hide his golf gear from his kid. Charlie Woods is going to be very wealthy someday.

Suggestion #2: Tape alignment lines on the floor where the Mevo+ will sit so you can reposition it easily. I bought an adjustable floor stand that I screwed to the floor. This lets me stow the Mevo+ and replace it in it's exact original position. Kids may alter the stand's settings, but you can recalibrate it in just a few minutes.

Do you use the one from The Indoor Golf Shop?

I set up and take down my Mevo+ each time because one of our younger kids dreams of being on Ninja Warrior someday, and makes courses in our garage all the time. So I just used some permanent "paint" marker (gold in this case) to mark my garage floor exactly where the Mevo+ goes. Makes it quick and easy.
