Some previous discussion on GolfWRX on this. Those discussions centered on a price point between Xi+ and X2, filling that gap....say $8kish. Disappointing, actually. I'd rather see them eliminate the Xi+ and cut that price point. I guess their business model is professional friendly (versus TM) rather than consumer friendly.

To upgrade an Xi+ to a Tour in the UK is £3100+VAT (20%)

Hardware for the Xi/Xi+/Xi tour is all the same and collects the data. Your money simply goes to unlock the firmware to be compatible with the X2 app. There was no reason to introduce this model so late other than coerce another 3-5K out of the early adopters.

Yes it's too pricey an upgrade tha only allows more access to data that is already measured.
