  • Mevo+ New Tilt Recommendation

Just an FYI. With the latest update Flightscope is now recommending 12 degrees of tilt when using the FS app.
Not sure why they have not announced it anywhere, but it's definitely confirmed.

Can you please elaborate on where this is coming from and who has confirmed it?

Shankz Directly from both FS Live Chat and from support this morning. Last evening my unit was erroring out at 16+ degrees on FS range which I thought was weird.
Long story short I contacted FS since there is literally no info online regarding this. I was told 12 degrees is the new 16 degrees.

By "erroring out" do you mean that it's giving you bad readings, or that the tilt values are red during calibration?

bubbtubbs Tilt values were red, sorry. I opted not to hit after that until I figured out why they were red.

        Directly from FS this morning...
"The Tilt has been updated to 12 degrees on FS Golf with the latest app update.
In the new alignment line, you just have to make sure that your ball is aligned with the red line and that it is under the "T".
There are no other new protocols for the FS Golf app. Just the tilt that changed and the new alignment line."

I assumed that's what you meant but wanted to be sure, since I'm not in a position to test for myself at the moment.

This should make moving between FS and E6 apps much less of a hassle.

"Under the T", does mean the ball should be below to horizontal line, ie closer to the unit?

Noob20 Funny you asked, as I've been questioning the new alignment for the last week. Flightscope emailed me this morning with this response.

"The red line is where the ball would make an impact on the screen if it was in the middle, The white dot is where the ball should be placed. The white dot is the middle of the hitting mat and the red T is the middle of the screen. If you were playing outside it would not look as offset because of the long-distance outside. You can place your ball on the white dot and the red T in the middle of your hitting screen."

I personally find it odd that the alignment aids are not in-line.

This is interesting. If the horizontal line is a “flat square” where the ball should be in, this does not make sense. But I had success with hitting when it was in front, closed to unit. Putting is still not great.
