  • Mevo+ Ghosting

    I’ve tried everything so I’m posting here in hopes someone may have some ideas to correct this.

    I bought TGC 2019 for my Mevo+ recently and have really enjoyed it. Putting was a little bit of a struggle (calculating stroke distance) but playable. Then, out of the blue, my Mevo+ started ghost putting. I couldn’t even get my putter out of my bag before the putt sends the ball flying across the green eventually off the green.

    I’ve tried a few dozen adjustments - from tilt, to lights, to distance (unit to ball etc), to height of unit to mat. I’m out of obvious troubleshooting options.

    Firmware is .19
    Distance from unit to ball: exactly 8ft
    Distance from ball to screen: 11’ 3” (short indoor)
    No recent changes to the room or sim.

    Appreciate any ideas. Thanks!

    Some guys say static may cause it. The projector or some other interference but you said nothing has changed so, do you mevo plugged into power pack or using extension cord? Did you switch to .19 then you started getting ghost putts?

      Thanks for the reply. This started a few days after the firmware upgrade (maybe three successful sessions before)

      Yes - my Mevo+ Is plugged into an extension cord that is connected to a surge protector. I’ll try connecting it directly to the wall and see what happens. This is crazy!

          Did you try the static spray before. If it keeps happening I would definitely reach out to Flightscope.

            I haven’t tried static spray. I’ll see if I have some here at the house. If not, I’ll pick some up and try it. Thanks for the suggestions

            Are you getting the same putter ghosting with E6?

              Yes - just tried E6 and the exact same thing is happening. It ghost putts across the green the same way. It has to be the Mevo+ unit malfunctioning.

              I used the FS app to reset the unit but I don’t believe it’s a full factory reset as the firmware still showed .19.

                No fridge or fan or something spinning or vibrating behind a wall in the house? Maybe something it wasn't picking up before with the old firmware?

                  So I spoke to the support team yesterday and today. We used the FSGolf App to do troubleshooting on putts. Interestingly, they asked me to change my setting to “slow swing” and it seemed to work through the testing diagnostics. I played a few holes on TGC 2019 and set the gimme to 2 meters and I putted out several times successfully (straight putt off BTW).

                  They are supposed to get back to me in the next day with recommendations, but so far (fingers crossed) it’s working.

                  Anyone else see the email today about firmware .20? I wonder what changes this will provide. I see it’s mostly about the “pro pack” option but wondering if there are radar enhancements.

                    How do you get on the email list? I bought mine used and am not sure how to register the product to be notified of updates.

                  No changes to my environment. That’s what made this issue so strange. One day it was working great - the next not at all.
