    Hey guys,

    First post on the forum. Purchased the Mevo+ a few months ago and upgraded to the pro package last week. Currently using TGC2019, the new data parameters are great, but still really disappointed in the putting, was hoping to see some improvements there. I’ve played around on the FS interface with different fast putting thresholds, different green speeds on TGC, and still getting very high ball speed and open/closed faces on long putts. I’d say 50% of putts outside 40 feet are noticeable glitches/miss reads.

    I feel my setup is decent enough, putting turf covers the entire garage and I have a hitting mat insert so it’s flat from monitor to screen. Good lighting as well.

    I was able to get my hands on the RCT golf balls as well, assume the recommendation is to not putt with those balls? But not sure.

    Any suggestions? Greatly appreciated.

    My suggestion would be to crank up your gimme zone to 10-12 feet.

      It’s currently at 6 feet and that’s where I’d like to keep it, not having any issues with the short putts so not sure how that would address the issues I’m having. Am I missing something?

        Putting and short chips are a hit and miss with the Mevo plus. I was really hoping the fusion tracking update would really improve things but it has been marginal in my setup. Unfortunately there is very little guidance by Flightscope so most of the suggestions will come from users posting on forms like this. What seems to be suggested are things such as adequate distance, flat even surfaces, putting closer to the unit (3 feet), lower radar tilt, RCT balls etc. What is not known is how much and type of lighting that may help the camera reads. Perhaps Flightscope can put something on their website to give us guidance. I asked the question for X3 owner prior to Mevo fusion update, how well that unit reads putts? No real response. Correct me if I am wrong but the Mevo plus will also be getting the short game/putting app training software soon. I am not sure how great that will be unless the current accuracy improves.

          I have not purchased the pro package yet. If the chips and putting get better I would definitely get it. I wonder if Flightscope will come up with recommendations for camera operation. I know a lot of people use pen lighting or some form of concentrated light to keep the room darker for better projection imaging but I would think this would negatively impact the camera's ability to read the ball? The putting training would mess up your putting if nothing changes. I can't get as ball to roll 30' to save my life on that thing.

        My short chipping works great after having their support troubleshooot. Took an hour of my time but they got it figured out and I can chip anything now and it reads. I recommend anyone having issues to go this route. We changed some things in the launch settings until it worked. Putting is better but still not perfect. It feels more realistic but some are still not measured correctly at various times.

        Also curious to understand what the troubleshoot process looks like, we’re you hitting shots and providing feedback directly to a Flightscope rep?

        I’ve been fortunate enough to have pretty accurate reads with the chipping, but definitely having issues with the putting. Tried setting the “fast putt threshold” to 300 feet in an attempt to eliminate that feature, just in case it was causing issues on the long putts, but doesn’t seem to have improved anything.

        There’s a couple second delay and the ball launches across the green going 35mph, anyone come across similar issues?

          The troubleshooting process is flightscope tempting into your setup in my case of version of TGC 2019 and watching me hit shots and providing feedback then we modified a couple of settings on the launch console of TGC where’re you see the tilt. We tried several things so next time I login I will post my settings. I believe it was wedge distance and we set it at 75 yards or something it didn’t make sense to me but then it worked. I will get a screenshot.

                    Thanks Travrav40. I had a session with the Flightscope support to look at chipping and putting. Unfortunately they saw some major problem with the unit so I have to send it back to them. Drag to say the least!

                      Jojovenom I spoke with support and they walked me through using the FS app connected to Mevo hitting some chips / putts then sending that info to support. They analyzed it and said there was some problem with my radar that affected the chipping and putting. If they correct it then I would suggest you contact them for this test.

                    Yeah hopefully they expedite a replacement unit for you. On the plus side you are working towards a better experience. I played an event today and everything tracked well even my typical blow up hole :-) I was quite happy with the tracking though seemed spot on, now I just need to improve.
