Mevo+ and IPad

Does an iPad need Cellular service for any of the apps (FS, E6)? The phone has it and PC needs 2 wifi or a wifi/ethernet so I am thinking the iPad needs Cellular??

You do not have to have cellular service. It’s nice to have for environmental data and uploading data just like the phone but it’s not required. I don’t use E6 while out but I remember some members asking questions about using E6 on the range. Maybe someone else can chime in and let us know.

The included iOS version of E6 doesn't support online play and the Flightscope app will upload your session data when it gets back on normal WiFi, so mobile data isn't required with those two programs.

If you were going to use something else like Awesome Golf or TGC instead then it might help. Not sure if the extended iOS subscription version of E6 has online play since I've never looked into it.

For environmental data, what I usually do is launch the FS Golf app while my iPad is connected to internet to update. I will then change wifi to connect to the Mevo+ and continue on from there.
