  • FS Multicam Issue

    Hi all,

anyone else having an issue with the pre and post impact video duration when using multicam?

im currently running latest FW and OS on both my 9th gen iPad and iPhone 13 Pro. I have the iPad running FS Golf capturing down the line and the iPhone running multicam capturing face on.

The actual capturing of the video is working fine. However, the face on video is only starting at the top of my backswing. I found the setting in the multicam app which shows a pre impact duration if 1 second and a post impact of 4 seconds. However, the sliders seem to be locked and I can’t adjust them.

The ipad on the other hand is set to 3 sec pre and 1 second post. I adjusted those to a few different settings but it does not carry over to the multicam app capturing down the line.

im gonna call support when they open but figured I would ask here first.

Am I doing something wrong? I have FSGolf running on my iPad. I then launch MultiCam on my iPhone. The MultiCam app says to connect to an X3 or Strike even when on the Mevo+ wifi. How do I get them synced?

Are there directions anywhere on how/what app to use for video with the Mevo+? I'm wondering if it should be FSGolf on the separate phone or MultiCam on the separate phone. In my setup, I run FSGolf on an iPad, and would like to take video on my iPhone.

I haven’t seen any official directions. My understanding is that the main device capturing data through the FS Golf app (iPad in your case) would have to capture video in a single camera setup. In a dual camera setup, the second device runs multicam to connect back to the iPad running FS golf and sync the videos.

In a single camera setup, I do not believe you can have one device running FS golf to capture data only from the Mevo+ and a second device running either app to capture video only.

I’ve followed up a couple times with flightscope support on this pressing them about when this will be fixed. Here’s the answer I got yesterday:

”Our Developers are aware of this request and confirmed that it will be implemented in the future, unfortunately, no timeline for this was shared with us.”

I’m not too optimistic it will be released any time soon which is a shame. They are claiming MultiCam support for the Mevo+ now but this bug renders the app useless IMO.

I’m still very happy with the Mevo+ and everything else it provides. Such an awesome product for the price point.

Hi all in response on how to setup the current multicam functionlaity, I am copying over my post to someone I snet o nthe facebood user group. if you using the iPhone as an extra camera to use with FSGolf App on say on iPad? If that is the case, simply connect your iPhone to your Mevo+ WiFi like you would with your iPad. Then click on the video tab you are showing on the screen shot and select the text "Skip". Now assuming the iPad has the FSGolf App open and you are connected to the Mevo+ WiFi on that device, wait a minute for the devices to sync up. Then in Video caoture option in FSGolf App select one of hte multi tile options in the right corner of the screen (lets choos the split screen for now). Then select camer option for one tile and select configure multicam options. Your iPhone should be an option to select and then you should see video from it. On the other tile select your other camer option. I normally choose the iPad camer or the one of the Mevo+. I don't know of a document BTW, but yes it would be nice. I hope that helps?

Appreciate the post Bobby. I can get the video capture working from both feeds. This thread is about the inability to set the duration of the video on the second camera. There’s a setting in FS Golf App to change it but it only applies to the camera on the device running FS Golf. It doesn’t change the duration on the device running FS Multicam. There’s also a similar setting in FS Multicam but it is locked for some reason and set to 1 second pre impact. Because of this, the video capture from the second camera does not capture address position or most of the back swing. The video usually starts at the top of the back swing for me.

New FS Golf and Multicam app updates released last night. Release notes mention multicam fixes. I’m going to give it a try this week and will report back.

Ok so here’s the deal. You no longer set the duration in the multicam app. The duration setting for both devices is pulled from the FS golf app. I tried it this morning and I am now able to capture the full swing in both devices. So happy that flight scope fixed this!

this may be a bit of nit picking but from what I have seen the videos are not always in sync. I took about 10 swings and only 2 of them had both videos at impact at “T0”. I called flightscope support to see if there was a way to edit “T0” for each video individually and it does not seem that there is a way to do that. They said they would forward along to the developers

again, not a huge deal as we now have the full swing capture for both videos which is a huge improvement.
