FS Golf app device ready? trouble registering while connected

Hey, tried the updated FS golf app on my android for the first time today, just seeing if the chipping works in the small basement area I usually putt in. The app opened fine, and connected to the mevo just fine, except I didn't get the status of the device to the "ready" that I think I used to get to all the time before hitting. No shots were registering in the "connected" status.

Also not sure how others are navigating this but I can't seem to register the device through the app. I connect with wifi, and it seems the registration process hangs trying to send data through my non-internet (mevo) wifi connection. I'd assumed since I have a cell connection it would go around that on the mobile data but my phone or the app doesn't seem to be making that path available.

    thanks for the ideas

Well I've tried a few different things on my end and I'm just going to go to their helpdesk. I think I may have actually used the updated app a few weeks ago now that I think about it and I have a feeling that the "0 days to register" registration thing is stopping me from getting the ready status.

Not sure the solution on this but I'll assume the flightscope team can help me out. I've registered the device with them previously just can't make it go through my mobile data on the phone, all permissions on, including mobile data so not sure what else to try on my end. The app tells me there's no internet connection but I think it's not looking for the mobile, and trying to find internet through the wifi connection to the mevo. Dumb but since I don't see a lot of people chiming in here maybe it's just my phone, a samsung S9+?

You will have to register it. Connect to the Mevo and fill out the info. Before you hit next, connect back to wifi then proceed. Then connect back to the Mevo. Restart the Mevo and app and you should be good to go. I had the same issue

Other than removing the dialog box, what's the advantage of registering?

The Mevo won’t arm unless it is registered for some reason. FS Golf will not read any shots. I was thinking I could just ignore it but it stopped working. I called Flightscope and they said it has to be registered. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for that. I had tried something similar with no success but I followed the steps like you described and got it to work.

      Much appreciated.

For anyone that may find this, I was able to switch back to my internet wifi, and it sent me to a second screen saying I'm almost done and to reconnect to the mevo at which point I did and pressed proceed and voila! Registration complete and now I'm getting the "ready" I needed to start hitting.
