  • Building an interference screen

Was using the monitor last night and now I'm having impure thoughts about rotating the setup 90° to get a little more flight room. I have nearly 11' now but I could get 12' the other direction and it'd make mounting the TV and computer much easier. The catch is that I'd have to hit towards the garage door in that bay.

Has anybody built a mini Faraday cage or something to prevent the metal door from interfering? I don't use the garage for parking so I might just block the door and place OSB with some grid wire stapled to it behind the net and see how that goes.

I'll compare it as-is once the kids are asleep this afternoon and see how bad the interference is.

I changed my setup to hit to the garage door and i ran the interference program on a laptop while hitting balls to the door the line was green on all my hits. I guess its minimal interference only or i do not know how to read the graph. I know i get inference is when a car is passing my house the Mevo+ would read the car and when has passed by the device would say ready.

Other than that the Mevo+ being working great.

      The car thing is hilarious.

What about a vehicle parked on the other side of the door?

My big SUV is parked outside of the garage door. everything seems fine to me. I think the interference is more on moving reflective objects in radar field of view.
I installed a 240v heater in my garage this winter and i thought it would cause inference but when i ran the interference application everything was reading green when i was hitting shots.

I stopped thinking about the interference as much as it drove me crazy when i first got the device. Its a 3k investment on a launch monitor for outdoor/indoor use and if the device marginally off sometimes i'm ok with it.
I realize that I did not spend the $$$$ on a GC Quad or trackman nor I ever will as i'm not a golf professional.

Lots of people complain about the device I am happy with mine.
now that its nice out i'm not in my garage as much enjoying the outdoor range and real golf.
Working...
