  • Putting direction issues since upgrading to .20

Ever since I updated to the new firmware (.20) with fusion, I find putting almost impossible. I am putting on a 13' putting mat with alignment lines on the mat and no matter how straight I hit the ball, it is almost never registered as a straight putt. I don't think I have made one 8ft putt since upgrading...the mevo always claims I am pulling the putt left right off the club, even though the ball goes straight down the mat on the short putts. I think I 3 putt on every green unless I get lucky and get it to the gimmee zone on the first putt.
Is this an alignment issue? Or is there a tweak I need to do in settings to fix the issue?
I had NO direction issue on the previous firmware I was using (.17)...Some speed issues, but I could get around that.

    Thanks!

What are software are you putting in? If I use FS Golf and TGC 2019 my putts go straight. If I use E6 they launch right at about 25 degrees.

I am exclusively using TGC 2019.

I have also made the jump from 0.17 to 0.20 and also use TGC 2019 exclusively. I had no directional putting issues prior to the change and still do not have any. I did make two other simultaneous changes at the same time though. I replaced a diffused LED light with a LED spot light aimed at hitting/putting area. I also changed balls from Titleist Pro V1(with dots), to the new RCT balls. My setup worked quite well before, but have to say with these changes things have improved overall. Putting the same as before reads 99.9%, and straight. Chipping reads I would say 95%, but now for the first time ever can actually spin and stop or slow down significantly. The same with wedges. Driver seems to have a little less spin than before. Overall satisfied with the upgrade.

Thanks for the response. I have had LED lights pointed at my putting mat and hitting area from the time I setup my sim. They are two LED strips that have 3 movable/pointable LED spot lights on each strip. I guess I can try moving them around a little more, but the putting mat is pretty well lit with 3 of the mini spot lights.
I don't putt with the "silver dot" ball cause that was the recommendation before. Maybe I should try that now with the new firmware?

I used to have the mevo at a 10 degree angle when I had the .17 firmware cuase it seem to work best, but went to the standard 12 degree with the fusion update, since other posts mention it. Since I have moved to the 12 degree I have had some "no reads" when putting, so maybe I should go back to the 10 degrees.
When putting my ball is about 3.5-4 ft away from the mevo. Not sure if that is an issue? It always worked with the previous firmware.

Chipping and normal shots seem perfectly fine, except for sometimes when the shot doesn't go the distance you thought it should. The directions of normal and chip shots seem fine to me. I know when they are going to be left, right or straight-ish.

OK. Well I also found 12 degree tilt to work best. One difference for sure between our setups is Mevo+ is 8 feet back from from putting position, and not sure about your setup but Mevo+ is level with putting turf. One thing I did have to do from the beginning of simulator debug was I wrapped the cage around my projector. I also have a heat pump unit outside of the wall behind the screen. I also had to wrap a 1/8th inch 3'x4' piece of particle board with the same screen material and place it against the wall in-between the screen and the heat pump outside. Not sure if you may have something in your environment. Probably not?? For me the heat pump would come on and cause automatic putting to occur. The projector screen wrapping I did from the beginning so not sure if it could have caused an issue. Hope this info helps. Good luck.
