  • Correct Use of Flightscope 20K Battery

I recently bought the battery and connect it time I play to a fully charged Mevo+. I thought the 20K battery would charge the Mevo+ from becoming depleted. After about 1.5 h the Mevo+ was showing a red flashing battery LED and would not connect. The 20K was fully charged still. I checked the cable (same one that came with my Mevo+) and everything correctly inserted. The Mevo+ and 20K were not sitting in the sun, nor was either hot just mildly warm. Shouldn't the 20K be able to prevent the Mevo+ internal battery from running down? My Mevo+ is only a few months old.

Did you happen to check the status of the mevo+ when you had it plugged in to the battery? Did it show that it was charging? If I power up the mevo+ and then plug it in to my external battery pack sometimes it does not go into charging mode. I have made it a habit to plug the mevo+ into the battery pack first and wait for the lights to show it is charging before I power the unit up. I don’t think I have any issues since I started doing it this way. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I will keep track and post my findings. Today I played 2.5 hours and it seemed to work with the 20K properly, ie the Mevo+ remained nearly fully charged. Your method may be the key.

Is it possible to charge the powerbank while it's powering the Mevo+?

I guess that depends on the power bank. Not sure I would conduct the experiment with a 2000.00 unit in the mix. It would be just as easy get a larger capacity power brick or a second smaller one.
