  • Flightscope x2 putting options

I may be getting a flightscope X2 and e6 software. I know the flightscope can not register putting. Could anyone give me advice on options that would allow us to putt?

With Trackman the thought is to use the E6 sensor pad. Not sure about Flightscopes plans for soft chips and putts with the x2. Goatbarn any ideas?

I'd assume they would follow a similar path as Trackman with the E6 sensor pad.

I would think they'd have to weigh the cost of R&D to integrate this tech vs the expected demand, which could be quite high if they would advertise more (at all) for home simulator use.

My talks with them is that they don't currently have this solution yet and would not divulge a schedule for such integration.

The solution with the TruPutt is easiest and works well with TM and e6.

Dax may I ask how much the Truputt sensor mat and lights costs?
Goat, the latest conversation I had with the Flightscope folks was that they had a solution for the chipping and putting but they wouldn't give any details or timing of it being released. Things move slower than snails in this industry.

It was about $900 for everything. I thought I posted pics somewhere of everything that it came with. Let me go back and look.

Teebox, according to the info i gotten, is the FS solution to putting and chipping. Its out on internal testing as we speak. According to my source it will also work with the Xi series.

I also heard a release date but i havent gotten that verified by a trustworthy source so i keep that to my self.

Yes I figured it would be the TeeBox. Question is how expensive will it be? It won't be free! That's why I ask Dax how much the Truputt costs.

I also gotten an indication on price and since teebox is essentially a second X2, according to the info i got, we shouldnt have any expectations that it will be affordable.

The indication i got isnt confirmed so instead of spreading rumours i will keep It to myself.

But i can say as much as that at the moment i havent got any high hopes that i will own one.

How will truputt work with FS or did i misunderstand you?

I don't think TruPutt will work with FS, although it should not be hard to do as it is really just the e6 software that it works with. Isn't the Tbox possibly the old tech the FS first started with when they supplied AG? If this is the case, then would it not just be old tech and thus something that they could sell cheaply? I thought Cory at P2P did a review on it back in 2012 or 2013 at the PGA show (although it sounded like they were marketing it differently back then). If it is something new, why not call it something different than what they offered over 10 years ago?

Ok, it was a hypothical discussion regarding truputt.

Yes, as i understand it it is the same device. And as i understand it was supposed to work as a complete hardware unit for simulation.

In the new iteration it will be behind the screen and only monitor chip and putts.

So instead of a stand alone unit you now need two radars (2*X2) to simulate golf.
