    Mevo+ Garage Build

    Hey,

First time poster here. Any feed back is appreciated. In the process of building my sim for my garage. I have all components selected/ordered and awaiting delivery except my launch monitor. MY screen is going to be 10' x 16' i was planning on having the hitting area 8'-10' away from the screen. I have the room for a mevo+ but am curious due to the garage floor not being perfectly level. I would end up having a 1 1/4" drop from where the mevo+ would sit and another 1 1/4" from the hitting mat to the screen. Will this affect my readings? Also i have metal garage cabinets down one side of the garage and overhead storage on the other not sure if this will cause interference. Again any feedback is greatly appreciated. Really like the idea of a mevo+ so i can have LH and RH golfers over and not have to adjust the launch monitor.

My Mevo+ sits on top of a few things probably 2" to get to the level of my hitting floor which is raised 3" as it doubles as a putting floor too. No issues really with full shots. Putting is the issue for me but I use auto putt anyway.

Rhollan thanks for the feedback. MY entire garage floor slopes from back to front so I was hoping I would not have to change that.

I have a car to the right of my Mevo+, a fridge about 18ft away and don't have any issues with the interference. Some people have experienced issues, but my setup in the garage has lots of items that "should" give it interference, but doesn't. I have VERY rare no reads. A lot of the issues with interference was due to the having the mevo+ plugged into a wall socket ("dirty power"). I have mine(as many do) plugged into the recommended battery backup supply and it works great.
Your setup sounds a lot like my setup. You might consider a putting mat that is at least 13' long. I made a narrow putting run with 1'' ridge foam insulation (2ft X 18ft). My mevo+ sits on the far end of the putting run with the putting mat on the run in front of the mevo (about 3ft in front) and my hitting area (4x5) to the left of the putting run (about 8ft away from the mevo). All of this is about 1.25in off the garge floor. Works great when I need to break it down to get my car into the garage when it snows.

BostonGolfer - thanks for the feed back. I bought 1" foam gym mats I was planning on putting down and turf over top. Planned on running it back 8' for the Mevo+ to sit on it. Also planned on making a divot action hitting zone.
