  • Mevo + With Ipad and Online Play

I know that there are aftermarket adapters to enable an Ipad to be connected online via an Ethernet cable. Will these work with the Ipad wifi connected to the Mevo+? Is anyone here successfully playing online using this method?

I purchased a cheap ethernet adapter from Amazon and it does indeed work for intended purposes. You must first turn off WiFi on the Ipad and plug in the Ethernet adapter. The Ipad will now be connected to the internet. Then you turn WiFi back on and connect to the Mevo+ and done. You are online and connected to your simulator. FYI my set up is outside no where near my router and to remedy this, I also purchased a cheap bridge (basically a wireless wire). Below are links to what I used to make this work. Not sure if they will be hyperlinks so just cut and paste into your browser.

Amazon.com: BrosTrend AC1200 WiFi to Ethernet Adapter, 1200Mbps Dual Band Universal Wireless Bridge for Printer, Smart TV, Blu-Ray Player, PlayStation, Xbox, etc, WPS Easy Setup, Connect a Wired Device to Wi-Fi : Electronics

This is a great work around. Thanks EasyEd77. Just to clarify , I assume the online play is only for the paid E6 for Mevo plus and not the free 6 courses?

Good question and honestly I do not know the answer. The annual subscription is $100 off so I purchased it before I tried it with the free version. I do not see why it wouldn't work on the free version unless it specifies that it will not. I am pretty sure that if you are online using the free version it will still keep your statistics such as fairways hit, greens hit, average drive etc. I did play my first online game of Pinseeker from the E6 app. I tried out one of the free contests last night. Came in 29th place ;-).

Free iOS version doesn't support online multiplayer, AFAIK.

Thanks bubbtubbs. I figured as such but just wanted it verified so Mevo plus users with the free version understand.
