    Mevo + TGC 2019 Backspin

I’ve recently been having issues with my Mevo + and TGC 2019 software giving unrealistic backspin numbers and ball speed.

I just built an enclosure with impact screen so I’m not sure if the issue is related to the impact screen or the existing setup.

I’m hitting an 8i 30+ yards longer and I noticed that my backspin on those shots were in the 4000-5500 range. Ball is just unrealistically flying.

I have 11 feet to screen, Mevo is 8 behind impact. I’ve tinkered with both indoor and short indoor and both produce misreads.

I use new kirklands with the metallic dot. Not a premium ball but I could try that too.

Any suggestions would be welcomed. It’s embarrassing to have this bad of a read when I have guests play.

Have you tried the 8i off a short tee to eliminate the mat?

Can you spray the face with foot spray or can deodorant and take some pictures of your strike location? Also can you post you data and we will take a look at the other metrics.

Hitting mats do consistently give less spin and increased ball speed versus grass.

Are you seeing the same averages during a session on FS Golf?

I get more “normal” on FS app. Compared FS to trackman and got similar ball speed, spin, and carry. Move to TGC and spin is 2k lower on 8i and it’s carrying 30 yards longer.

I see more inaccurate reads on TGC. When I use fligthscooe driving range I’ll get avg ball speed of 123-125 and 5500-6500 backspin. Carry is closer to actuals outside but still a bit long.

When I move to TGC I get ball speeds 126-130, 4000 backspin and the ball is just flying.

Tried Titleist Pro V simulator ball too and no difference.
