Not sure if this is helpful to anyone, but I didn't like the fact that I couldn't connect the iPad driving my Mevo+ to the internet at the same time so I came up with a solution. I bought an Opal travel router for $45. It has "Wireless Repeater" mode which allows you to connect to the Mevo+ wifi signal. At the same time, you can plug the Opal's WAN port into your home router with an ethernet cable. Now, connect your iPad to the SSID of the Opal and you can connect to the Mevo and internet at the same time. I tried for 6 hours to get it to work on my home's wifi SSID but gave up. I think this is a plenty good solution and should take less than 15 minutes to configure. The one big caveat is that the Opal has to be within range of the Mevo+ signal and your iPad has to be within range of the Opal's SSID. I'm about 120 feet away with a few walls in between and it's working pretty well.

Can I confirm that you are not setting the Opal router SSID to the Mevo+ ID to connect ... this is a separate repeater setting that allows the Opal to connect via a second SSID? I have not seen a router that does this in repeater mode (normally you lose the unit SSID to broadcast the repeated signal). WIll have to look into this as it is similar to how I have connected my PC via two wireless cards and ethernet to connect to both the home network and the Mevo+ for TGC2019 ... I think what you are suggesting is that if I connect my iPad to the PC via the non-Mevo+ SSID I should be able to see the Mevo+ for FS connection. Will test and let you know ... this seems too obvious to be not included in other documentation (but I might not be the sharpest tool in this particular shed
).

The Opal has two radios and one ethernet interface. One radio connects to the Mevo+ SSID, the other broadcasts its own SSID and the ethernet connects to your router. The Opal mixes them all together. It was obvious to me because I have some networking experience and also stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. There are other routers that will do it, but the Opal was available for prime one day delivery and well priced. It also has a tether mode if you want to hook up a phone or hotspot. You can also use this when you travel. Connect the Opal to a hotel wifi signal, then rebroadcast it to all your other devices. Some screenshots below.Last edited by vbcoach; 01-01-2023, 11:55 PM.

Using a different path, I was able to make this work with the E6 application, (but not via Wifi only) by using the Opal router in extender mode and an ethernet adapter on my iPad. I'm able to connect via Wifi to the Mevo+ then to the Opal router in extender mode via the ethernet port and adapter. I would have preferred a Wifi only option to eliminate the extra cables needed for this scenario, but overall it accomplished the task of getting a wifi only iPad to still have internet connectivity while connected to the Mevo+.

I'm using a projector for the display. I did put a ticket into E6 and they responded that flightscope wrote their sdk so they don't control the connection path. I still plan to work with my networking engineer from work to see if there is a wifi path as it would simplify the cable mess I have currently.

Responding to this old post. I have accomplished this two different ways in case someone is looking for a modern solution. One main point is that I have a mesh network in the house (Deco, but any will work). I bought a cheap mesh node online and put it in my garage. It has two ethernet ports but is getting my home internet signal wirelessly via the mesh. You might be able to use a wireless repeater if it has ethernet jacks also, but mesh blows that away in terms of speed and convenience. Essentially, I now have a strong wireless signal in my garage that is hooked up to my home internet and I also have two ethernet jacks that can also be used for hardwiring internet to other devices.
Option 1: You can get a cheap USB C (or lightning) to ethernet jack on Amazon for $10. Connect to the Mevo's wireless on the iPad/iPhone and plug the ethernet into the USB C port of the iPad. You will now be connected to both the Mevo via wireless and real internet via ethernet cable so local conditions, firmware updates... will work. You can now mirror your iOS device to an Apple TV connected to your home network and hook it up to a TV or a projector. You won't be able to charge your iPad unless you have a Magic Keyboard as there is only one USB C Port but the battery should last quite a while. If you have an iPhone with wireless charging, you can charge it that way and still have the ethernet plugged in. With a long enough cable, your iOS device can be basically anywhere since the Apple TV is wireless.
Option 2 (what I do now). I wanted to be able to move my iPad around to use its camera, or to manipulate the video from FS Multicam if a friend is hitting balls. I bought a cheap travel router ($50) that has wireless bridge mode. It allows me to plug ethernet into the WAN port for my home internet and connect to the Mevo wireless at the same time. The travel router essentially blends both signals and outputs it through the SSID. I then connect my iPad via wireless to the travel routers wireless SSID and it sees the Mevo+ as well as a fast internet signal so I can update firmware, get weather conditions, check email... and I can move the iPad anywhere in the garage I need it.
If your want to use FS Multicam with a different iPhone or iPad, you have to connect with the QR code, then change your wifi back to the SSID of the travel router, but it's easy once you try it a couple times.
